First Generation

First released with a low-emissions, high-mileage spec, to respond to energy crisis and emissions regulations, the original ACCORD fulfilled demands for "Space, Driving Comfort and Style."

Second Generation

Aiming for the peak of quality for compact car, the mechanics, exterior, interior and finish all represent a concentration of quality.
In 1982, the Accord became the first Japanese car to be locally manufactured when production began in Ohio, USA and the best selling Japanese car by name in the US (a record which was maintained for 15 years until 1996.)
In Europe, the Accord was awarded a No. 1 Japanese Car in 1983 European Car of the Year.

Fourth Generation

Seventh Generation

Designed to set a new benchmark for midsize automobiles, the seventh-generation Accord is fitted with a high-performance DOHC i-VTEC engine and offers world-class aerodynamic characteristics. The Accord Wagon's characteristic wing roof, based on the image of a diving peregrine falcon, was designed to impart a feel of freedom and solidity.
A powerful Accord Hybrid debuted for the 2005 model year, powered by a 3.0-liter i-VTEC V-6 with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) and Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) hybrid technology in the U.S.
In Europe, Honda’s acclaimed 2.2-liter i-CTDi 4-cylinder diesel engine debuted in 2004. In 2006, Accord was the first vehicle in Europe to offer Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS) – a system that maintains the position of the car in a lane by providing steering input when necessary.
